‘Robin Hood’ the ever popular hero of the poor originated in English folklore and later featured in literature and still later in cinema has returned with the latest depiction directed by Otto Bathurst.

With the cast Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, Ben Mendelsohn, Eve Hewson,Tim Minchin and Jamie Dornan, the film depicts how Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) a war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.

Summit Entertainment presents, an Appian Way production, a Safehouse Pictures production, in association with Thunder RoadsFilms.

Announced in February 2015, with Egerton signing on as the lead role that September, the shooting was done from February to may 2017 at different locations in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and in Le Raincy, France.

The film is now being released at Liberty by Scope Cinemas, Empire – Colombo, MC Cinemas, Scope Cinemas (CCC), Liberty Lite in Colombo and other cinemas around the country.
