The 8th Edition of the Agenda 14 Short film festival is now taking place at the Goethe Institute in Colombo. The director of the Jaffna International Cinema Festival, Anomaa Rajakaruna is the curator of the festival.

Started on December 7, the festival will continue till December 10 with the screening of short films in competition and other events such as masterclass and short film pitching.

A number of awards including Best Short Film, Jury Prize, Most Promising Filmmaker (under 24 years), Human Rights Prize, Most Gender Sensitive Film, Best Animated Short Film and Green Award (for the best film on environment) are to be given to budding filmmakers. As part of the festival, master class was conducted by Dr. Visakesa Charasekaram. The short films in competition will be screened from 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm on December 9 and 10 and the awards ceremony will be at 6.45 pm on Dec 10.
