Golden Jubilee of 1968 batch of Peradeniya Uni.’s Arts Faculty
View(s):The Golden Jubilee Anniversary celebrations of the 1968 batch of the Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya (UoP), which falls on October this year, will be held at the UoP premises on Sunday, October 21. The celebrations will begin at 8.30 am with religious observances before the Sarasvi Seya. Thereafter, the ’68 alumni will gather at the Arts Theatre for the formal anniversary meeting, with UoP Vice Chancellor Prof Upul Dissanyake as the Chief Guest.
Lunch will follow, after which, an entertainment event with artistes of ‘Maname’ and ‘Sinhabahu’ fame. A commemorative volume will also be launched on the occasion. The organizing committee invites alumni of the 1968 batch, who have not confirmed their attendance to date, to do so.
