Environmentally- friendly and futuristic pre-fabricated light weight building system

Well&Able Lanka (Pvt) Ltd in association with a Singapore – Sri Lanka business partnership, has jointly introduced a futuristic construction technology that is environmentally – friendly, cost effective, least time consuming, highly profitable and of high quality.

Managing Directors of the respective companies signed the MoU.

Salasi Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, winner of the prestigious National Construction Excellence Award 2017 conferred by the Construction Industry Development Authority of Sri Lanka, since 2000 making a name for its construction prowess and Singapore’s Well&Able Int. (Pvt) Ltd has formed Well&Able Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, as a joint venture. A Memorandum of Understanding for this purpose was signed on August 31 at their principal office at No.10, Temple Road, Maradana.

Raymond Wong, Founder and Managing Director of Well&Able Int. (Pvt) Ltd and U.A. Padukka, Managing Director of Salasi Lanka (Pvt) Ltd signed on behalf the two companies, the joint venture company said in a media release.

Speaking at the media briefing, Mr. Padukka said “pre-fabricated lightweight building systems is a game changer which will soon take over the country’s construction sector and bring about a welcome change for local builders.”

“I have been researching extensively for the past couple of years of how this new building system could be of advantage to us and finally convinced that the new technology opened a myriad of opportunities and was the best for us. I also built my corporate head office using this sophisticated technology that’s ahead of its time,” he said.

Mr. Wong said he was happy to work with a Sri Lankan company in pursuance of business jointly to bring about vast benefits to Sri Lanka’s construction sector. “We recently opened a new branch in Shanghai, China to introduce new products and technologies”, he added.
