The National Shooting Sports Federation (NSSF) Trap Open Meet 2018 will be held from June 21 to 24 at the Clay Target Shooting Club of Colombo, Payagala and the meet will be considered as a trial for future international meets.

Applications will be received up to June 7 and should be addressed to the Secretary NSSF, P.O. Box 33, Colombo 7.

Firearms only of 12 gauge will be allowed at the meet and will be restricted to: a) Over and Under; b) Side by side and c) Semi-Automatic and to be held as per the latest ISSF Rules and Regulations.

A challenge trophy along with Gold medal and certificate will be awarded to the winner while the first runner-up will receive a Silver medal and a certificate. A bronze medal and a certificate will be awarded to the second runner-up in the Individual events and the Team event champions will be awarded a challenge trophy along with Gold medals and certificates. Second place winners will receive Silver medals and certificates while the third place winners will receive Bronze medals and certificates.

Youth, Ladies and Masters category awards will be awarded to individual shooters provided the minimum number of participants take part. Medals and certificates will be awarded only if the following minimum number of competitors participate in each category:

Gold - Three competitors, Silver - Four competitors and Bronze - Five competitors.
