Eleven medals for Finance Company
View(s):Athletes from the Finance Company won 11 medals at the India’s Master’s Athletics Championships concluded recently. The company was represented by four athletes–Duminda Thilakaratne, Subashini Senadhira, Padmaseeli Koralage and Priyadarshani Diyawadana who had performed well to bring home rich medal haul including four gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
Priyadarshani who competed in five events, won gold medals in Shot Put, Discuss Throw, Javelin Throw. She also won a silver in women’s triple jump and a bronze in the women 4×400 relay.
Subashini Senadhira also won a gold in women’s Shot Put in addition to a silver and a bronze in discuss throw and 4×400 relay respectively. Padmaseeli won silver in women’s javelin throw and a relay bronze while Duminda Thilakaratne won the men’s 5000m race walking silver.
