Debutant Moresand dunk IFS 46-28
Making their debut in Mercantile Basketball, Moresand Men, after leading 26-15 at half-time, scored a well deserved 46-28 victory over IFS R&D, in the ongoing Mercantile Services Basketball Association organised 12th Ram Rathnavel Memorial Knockout Basketball Tournament at the Henry Pedris Basketball Complex last week.
Playing in the 2nd Round of the ‘E’ Division, Moresand made its way to the 3rd Round with this win. In another Men’s ‘E’ Division match SriLankan Airlines flew over WSO2 with a 51-24 win.
In the Men’s ‘C’ Division matches Seylan Bank knocked out LB Finance 63-44 and Ranawana Securities scored a hard fought 52-48 win over Union Bank.
