4th Battle of the Blues and Greens ends in stalemate
The 4th Battle of the Blues and Greens Big Match between traditional rivals Lumbini MV and Bandaranayake MMV Gampaha played at P. Sara Stadium ended in a tame draw yesterday.
The second day’s proceedings saw Lumbini MV in reply to their opponents score of 167 going on to make a score of 195.
Half-tons by Isuru Chamara and Oshan Kanchana and an impressive mach figures of 10 for 52 by Diwan Madusanka enabled Shashthrananda MV Dehiwala to coast to an innings and 141-run win over Methodist High School Moratuwa in their 6th Battle of Friendship big match concluded at De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa yesterday.
