View(s):Students, their parents and staff of Munamalgaswewa Junior School, Puttalam, this week returned to harvest paddy sown 3 month’s back, on land adjoining the school.
The Principal of the School, Lakmal Abeygoda said that a 1-acre plot of land that was cultivated, was irrigated with the rainwater collected in a pond.However, after one-and-a-half months, due to the drought, they had to pump water from an agricultural well, 300 metres away.
