Dappula De Livera P.C. appointed Solicitor General

View(s): Dappula De Livera P.C. was appointed Solicitor General this week.
SG De Livera who served as Senior Additional SG was promoted by the Public Service Commission, on the recommendation of Attorney General (AG) Jayantha Jayasuriya P.C. He succeeds Suhada Gamlath who retired as SG last week.
SG De Livera will also function as Acting AG from Monday, as AG Jayasuriya is overseas.
SG De Livera has over 32 years experience as a Legal Counsel. He has been an Attorney-at-Law since 1984, and has a Master of Laws from the University of London.
