Finals of Inter-Academy Under-12 cricket tournament today
View(s):The Finals of the Second Inter Academy U- 12 Cricket Tournament organised and conducted by CCC School of Cricket, for the second year in succession will be held on Sunday – February 25, at Army Cricket Grounds Mattegoda.
The Losers’ Final to select the 3rd Place in the Tournament will be played in the morning session between the Runners-up of the two Groups, Sanath Jayasuriya Cricket Foundation and Panadura Cricket School. The Grand Final between the two winners of the two groups, CCC School of Cricket ‘Maroons’ and Piliyandala Vision Cricket Academy will be played in the afternoon starting at 1.00 pm . Both CCC ‘Maroons’ and Piliyandala teams were unbeaten in the Tournament with each team winning all five group matches in the First Round, and an exciting final is expected.
Last year, CCC School of Cricket ‘Maroons’ team emerged champions, while SSC School of Cricket ended up as runners-up.
Twelve (12) teams representing Primier Cricket Coaching Academies in and around Colombo participated in the Tournament.
Chief Guest at the Awards presentation ceremony on Sunday will be Dilip S Somaratne, Head Coach of Nondescript School of Cricket.
