Tribute to Pathiraja
View(s):In memory of late filmmaker and progressive thinker Dr. Dharmasena Pathiraja, launch of a book and a full-day film festival will be held on February 8 at National Film Corporation.
Sinhala book, ‘Pathi Watha’–Pathiraja, the man, his work and his art, the commemorative volume on the revolutionary filmmaker of Sri Lankan cinema will be launched at 5 pm at Tharangani Theatre, the National Film Corporation.
The film festival will include Para dige (On the Run) at 10 am, ‘Mathu Yam Davasa’ (Some Day in the Future) at 12.30 pm, ‘In Search of a Road’ at 3 pm and ‘Swaroopa’ 7 pm.
In collaboration with the National Film Corporation and Cultural Department, the event is organied by Film Directors Guild of Sri Lanka.
