Musaeus sits pretty with Best Drama (‘Chairs’), Best Child Actress

Musaeus College, Colombo 7, won ‘Best Drama of the Year’ in the English Drama- Limited Category, and many more awards for their drama ‘Chairs’ at the State Children’s Drama Festival Awards Ceremony held recently at the Nelum Pokuna Auditorium.
‘Chairs’ was directed by Mrs Nimasha Fernando of the Musaeus College teaching staff.
Grade 8 student Imaya Bogoda won ‘Best Child Actress’.
At the beginning of 2017, the drama ‘Chairs’ began with the auditioning of over 150 Musaeites of whom 9 were selected. They are Imaya Bogoda, Sadhara Iddamalgoda, Menuki Wickramasinghe, Kaushalya Weerasinghe, Dilansa Amarasekara, Umeda Ranuluge, Chanduli Rubasinghe, Sasheni Fernando and Naduni Jayasena.
