Western Province Central has put themselves in a strong position of clinching the Under 15 Inter-Provincial title at the end of the first session of proceedings of the final against Western Province South on day two played at the SSC ground.

The second day’s proceedings saw WPC resuming from their overnight score of 161 for 9 adding a further nine runs to their total to end with a score of 170.

The opening day’s play saw the bowling duo of WPC Sampath Nissanka and Tashik Nirmal who shared nine wickets and running through the WPS batting to bundle them out for a low score of 96.

WPC batting the second time needing 74 runs to avoid an innings defeat managed to erase the deficit but was struggling on 94 for 6 with nearly two sessions of play remaining.
