With an overwhelming tally of 121 medals, Kensho International Karate Club became the top performer at the All-Island Open Karate Championship 2017. The event was organised by the All-Island Karate Association and was held at the Vijitha Central College in Dickwella.
Kensho International Karate athletes bagged 40 gold, 38 silver and 43 bronze medals which took their tally to 121. The young karatekas were trained by the club’s chief instructor Sudath Mendis. - Gamini Mahadura
