Undue protests at self-requested Principal’s transfer: MoE
View(s):Principal of Bandaranaike College, Gampaha, D.M.L.P. Dissanayake, has been transferred, in compliance with a request he made to the Ministry of Education (MoE) in October last year, to be moved out of his position.
Hence, he has been released from the Central Education Service to the Provincial Education Service, with the permission of the Public Service Commission.
The MoE said some persons had misled parents and students by spreading falsehoods about this Principal’s transfer and organised some protests. The MoE said it is making the letters written by Mr Dissanayake, as well as the MoE’s reply public, so that, the truth of the matter can be known and the disruption to Education activities stopped.
