CEWET Scholarships now open to Applicants

Applications have been invited from children of Estate Workers’ who are Estate residents, for award of scholarships by theCeylon Estate Workers’ Education Trust (CEWET). These scholarships are available for GCE Advanced Level, Undergraduate courses, and for students undergoing Vocational/Technical courses.

Students with a minimum of 6 Credit passes at the GCE Ordinary Level or, passed the GCE Advanced Level exam, and below 25 years, are eligible to apply. Applications, along with photocopies of birth certificate, GCE OL/AL results sheet, parents’ last salary slip and Estate Superintendent’s certificate testifying parent’s occupation. Application forms could be downloaded from the website – www.hcicolombo.org, of the Indian High Commission (IHC), Colombo.

Application forms could also be obtained from the IHC, 36-38, Galle Road, Colombo 3 and from the Assistant IHC, 31, Rajapilla Mawatha, Kandy.
Duly completed forms should reach, The Honorary Secretary, CEWET, c/o High Commission of India, P.O. Box 882, Colombo, on or before June 30, 2017, the IHC said.
