Athulugama brings home a Bronze while representing Emirates

Charles Indika Athulugama who achieved a rare feat by becoming the first ever Sri Lankan to represent the Emirates Touch Rugby team at the World Masters’ Games 2017 which was held in Auckland, New Zealand.

At the end of the gruelling effort, Charles had the distinction of bringing home a Bronze Medal. In their group the Emirates team had been drawn up with Galaxy from Fiji and Old Skull from New Zealand. The Emirates team lost the game against Galaxy, but managed to beat Old Skull to end up as the Bronze medal winners.

In the first game Charles playing as a centre scored one try, but was injured while playing his second game.
