Inaugural exotic motor car parade

The Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC) will hold a motor vehicle parade with the Ceylon Exotic Car Club on Sunday, March 26 for motoring enthusiasts and tourists. Over 100 vehicles consisting of vintage, classic, and sports cars including a rare collection of motor vehicles will be in this parade. There will be old and new, such as Upali Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Morris Minor, Austin, NG Models 180, 181, 120 and standard that will parade from the AA headquarters through many tourist hotels in the city and end up at the Wetwater Resort in Gampaha via Negombo Road.

The public will have the opportunity to view these vehicles at the Automobile Association headquarters at Galle Face from 7.30 a.m. onwards before the parade starts at 9 a.m. The vehicles will travel through Galle Face Centre Road, Bank of Ceylon Mawatha, York Street, Olcott Mawatha, D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Maradana Road (P.P. B. S. KularatneMawatha) Sangaraja Mawatha, Panchikawatte, Armour Street, Jetawana Mawatha, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Mawatha, Victoria Bridge and along the Negombo Road up to Ja-Ela and turn towards Ekala Road to finish at Wetwater Resort, Gampaha.
