The implications incorporating socio-economic rights to Sri Lanka’s proposed constitution will be the focus of a Colombo seminar by Pratap Bhanu Mehta, a political scientist with extensive international and South Asian experience.

The public seminar is organised by the Advocata Institute, an independent, free market think tank. It will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Excel World Auditorium from 5.30 pm onwards.

Dr. Mehta has taught at Harvard University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and the New York University School of Law.

His areas of research include political theory, constitutional law, society and politics in India, governance and political economy, and international affairs.
