View(s):

The party in Negombo where 300 individuals were invited had an individual who had been spying on the guests. It is circulated that this person did not belong to any of those who were contesting at the AGM but was spying for a former big shot, which still has interests in the sport. It has also been noted that this individual is from Kalutara. What is the connection?

THE BLACK SPOT

The sport that is conducted on two wheelers was organised by a former champion rider who has over 30 years experience in the riding game. But those who were against this former champion rider organising the event had levelled accusations against him and as a result he had to be hauled up before the long arm of the law. Because of this there was a black spot on the event which was to take place in Meegoda.

ANY ACTION
AGAINST THEM?

A sport that is caught in a whirl of popularity these days has appointed nearly 15 coaches for various Asian tours to be undertaken this year. However it has been noted that two individuals who had jumped the gun in previous tours abroad to Japan and Korea too have been appointed as coaches! This has been brought to the notice of the body that is in charge of sports. Will any action be brought against them?

THE SPORT IS THE LOSER

The AGMs scheduled to be held in March is causing a lot of concern amongst sporting circles. The latest to enter the arena is the sport played on a board with dogs and a disc. This time, two who were vying for the top post in this game had fallen apart and the association is keeping their mouths shut, not giving any reason for the rift. This sport recently won a major tournament abroad and the talk is that many more contests overseas are in the offing. The present head who is a very educated person had thrown in the towel letting the other to win and contest. It looks as if the sport will suffer because of this!
