Gothama spins Royal to first innings win

Left arm leg spinner Gothama Wiswajith captured five wickets to help Royal College Colombo gain first innings points over Mahinda College at the Galle International Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Electing to bat Royal scored 205 with contributions from opener Krishikan Ravindranathan (28), Himesh Ramanayake (35), Ganith Sandeepa (52) and Kavinda Chathuranga (40). Reshan Kavinda 4/37 and Kavindu Ediriweera 3/64 were the main wicket takers for Mahinda. Vinura Dulsara figured in five dismissals behind the stumps.
Mahinda were restricted to 154 runs by Gothama Wiswajith 5/49, Himesh Ramanayake 2/28 and Charuka Hathurusinghe 2/27. Mahinda skipper Ravindu Hansika unbeaten on 58 on day one was unfortunate to be out for 87.
