‘Ben-Hur

A collection of blockbuster movies of both Hollywood and Bollywood presented by EAP Films are to be released during the month of August.

The series will start from ‘Suicide Squad’, a superhero film based on the DC Comics antihero team of the same name, which is to be released on August 5.

Written and directed by David Ayer, the film stars an ensemble cast featuring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, and Cara Delevingne.

This will be followed by Indian film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ (Mound of the Dead Men) epic adventure-romance film written and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. The film will be released on August 12.

During the August school vacation, fantasy adventure film ‘Pete’s Dragon’, the adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliot, who just so happens to be a dragon, will be released on August 12, as it sequel to worldwide release.

‘Mechanic- Resurrection’

Directed by David Lowery from a screenplay written by David Lowery and Toby Halbrooks, the film is a Walt Disney Pictures production.

Two films, Hollywood action ‘Mechanic- Resurrection’ and ‘Ben-Hur’ fourth film adaptation of 1880 novel Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ by Lew Wallace will be released on August 26.

Directed by Dennis Gansel, ‘Mechanic- Resurrection’ is the sequel to the 2011 film ‘The Mechanic’ and stars Jason Statham, Tommy Lee Jones, Jessica Alba and Michelle Yeoh.

Termed as a new interpretation of the novel,  ‘Ben-Hur’ stars Jack Huston, Morgan Freeman, Toby Kebbell, Nazanin Boniadi and Rodrigo Santoro.

The film follows the 1907 silent film, the 1925 silent film, and the Academy Award-winning 1959 film of same name.
