Sri Lanka Junior Boys will play Khazakastan for the 7th place today at the 18th Asian Junior Men’s Under 20 Volleyball Championship in Chinese Taipei.  Sri Lanka qualified to the Super 8 by defeating Australia and Bahrain in the preliminary round as the first Lankan team to play in the Super 8 for a long time. The other teams in the Super 8 were Iran (Defending champs), China (Runner-up), South Korea, Thailand, Khazakastan, Japan and Turkmenistan. Sri Lanka lost to Iran 0-3, Turkmenistan 2-3, China 0-3 and Thailand 1-3.  16 Asian countries participated in the is edition of the tournament and in the semi-finals yesterday Iran beat Japan 3-1, China beat Korea 3-0 to qualify to play in the finals today.  - SP
