Asia Asset Finance opening batsman Dennis Rodrigo and top order batsman, Nimesh Perera sent the Peak Colombo bowlers on a leather hunt as they piled up 296 for 3 in the ongoing 6th ‘Stafford-Honda’, MCA Division ‘G’ 25-over League Tournament 2016, continued last weekend.  While Rodrigo hit 83 runs in 44 balls, inclusive of six sixes and eight fours, Nimesh Perera pulverized the bowlers to remain unbeaten on 170 in just 72 deliveries, hitting 16 massive sixes and 12 sizzling fours. The pair put on 115 runs in 53 balls for the third wicket. But the weekend’s top honours should go to Total Amber’s allrounder,

Jalitha Perera for his incredible all round performance of scoring a swashbuckling century (115 in 70 balls, inclusive of eight sixes and 12 fours) and following it up with an inspired spell of bowling (4.4-0-23-5). Total Amber thus beat Elastomeric by 67 runs.  The other noteworthy performances came from Dilshan Jayasundera from WNS Global (94 Vs. Jetwing Travels), Dilruk Samarawickrama from Micro Holdings (5-0-24-5 Vs. Jetwing Travels), the unbroken 130 runs, third-wicket partnership between A. Ranthilakage (72 not out) and G. Pramoda (55 not out) for Micro Holdings against Jetwing Travels and Chamara Wijesinghe from Laugfs Holdings (85 Vs. Wurth Lanka).
