Ragama CC drove home for lunch when they crushed hapless Police SC by eight wickets in the Under-23 Division One limited overs encounter played at the Colts ground yesterday. The match lasted only 36.4 overs. After Ragama CC won the toss and invited Police to take first lease of the wicket, bowled them out for a paltry 40 runs in just 26.1 overs. Left-arm spinners Sahan Nanayakkara and Amila Aponso along with right arm pacie Udith Madushan who together shared eight wickets. Ragama CC in their run chase of 41 runs though losing two wickets in the process needed just 10.3 overs to reach the target with Charith Asalanka making an unbeaten 19. Pawan Dias cracked a quick-fire 104 in 107 balls inclusive of ten boundaries and a six and was involved in three fruitful partnerships helping Galle CC to record a convincing 81 runs win against Lankan CC in the match played at the Surrey Village ground in Maggona.

Two fine partnerships, first of 88 runs for the second wicket between Kasun Vidura who made 88 with seven boundaries and Lakkana Jayasekera, who hit a 64, which followed with a 61 runs stand for the sixth wicket between Chalana de Silva and Ayana Siriwardena paved the way for Chilaw Marians to record a comfortable 85-run win over SSC in the match played the SSC ground. Salinda Ushan missed out on a ton by one run but his knock of 99 was sufficient for Colts CC to overcome Army SC by two wickets in the match played at Panagoda. Army SC batting first made a score of 238 and Colts CC in their run chase raced to the target in the 48th over.

Navy SC thanks to three partnerships with the first an opening wicket coasted to an easy 120 runs win over Panadura SC in the match played at Welisara. Sachin Jayawardena along with Chandula Jayamanne and Mohamed Akram shone for Bloomfield in their 68-run win against NCC played at the NCC ground. In the other two matches that were played saw Kusal Mendis slamming an unbeaten 140 to guide CCC to a seven wicket win over Saracens SC at the CCC ground.  Navod Kalansuriya with an unbeaten knock of 70 steered SLPA CC to a seven wicket win against Kurunegala YCC played at the Welagedera Stadium in Kurunegala. The match between Tamil Union and Negombo CC which was scheduled to played today has been postpones for tomorrow.
