A MOTHER IS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP

All eyes are on the ladies team which is preparing to take part in a tournament in Thailand in the near future. The former captain of this team is now on the reserve list and there are efforts to get her back on the team. With this in view a fitness test was held and the girl on the bench had done well and it all points that she will now be taken into the team after all. Well this certainly seems possible with the mother of the girl always willing to give a helping hand!
WHY THIS CHANGE?
Now all eyes are on the team that is to visit Sri Lanka from Down Under. Usually outstation matches on such tours are being handled by District Associations but this time four officials faithful to the Boss is handling such affairs. One of them even happens to be holding a high spot in the sport’s body.
IN LINE FOR PUNISHMENT
There seems to be no discipline whatsoever in a sport that is being ridden by powerful two wheelers. This rider had been very rude to a lady official who had been conducting an inquiry. Those who were present at the inquiry had told the rider that he should behave himself, especially with a high lady official. The official results of the inquiry have not been released as yet but it all points that the rider will be punished.
HOLDING THE UPPER HAND
Two players of a popular sport, who are facing an inquiry seems to be having the upper hand against an official. Both players wield a lot of influence as their parents are holding responsible positions. The official concerned, who happens to be an official in the sport, was even barred from officiating at a recent tour due to the influence that these players are having.
MEDIOCRE EVENTS
With a major athletic event around the corner teams are busy trying to qualify for the long awaited event. With this in view a relay team went to a neighbouring country to take part at a qualifying meet but failed miserably. With the times that they have been recording, it is certain that they will have to keep trying for the event only at such mediocre events.
