Rainbow Aquatics is one of the leading swim clubs in the country which has produced numerous athletes to represent Sri Lanka in International Competitions.

Their list of achievements runs high. Some of the names that has represented the rainbow Aquatic club include past gold medalists at the South Asian Games, Deepika Chanmugam, Julian Bolling, Inthikab Sikkandar, Nishantha de Costa and Mineka Karunathna.

This year the achievements are the same. There are 21 swimmers were selected to represent Sri Lanka at the 12thSouth Asian Games 2016, Guwahati India from February 7 to 11. Out of them a total of eight swimmers from Rainbow Aquatics were selected to take part for this championship.

The swimmers taking part at these championships are as follows,

  • Shehan De Silva of the Sri Lanka Navy
  • Cherantha De Silva of Ananda College (Foreign Based Athlete)
  • Ridmi Rankothge of Musaeus College
  • Himani Vithanage of Musaeus College
  • Vinoli Kaluarachchi of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya
  • Machiko Raheem of Pennsylvania State University, USA (Foreign Based Athlete)
  • Kimiko Raheem ofAsian International School (Foreign Based Athlete)
