Meewalapathaha Pallanoya village in Galewela, Dambulla is accessible only through the Malawa Oya which has to be waded for half a kilometre to reach the nearest road.

The alternative is to trudge seven kilometres on foot to reach the nearest road. In the past the villagers had appealed to the authorities about this situation but nothing has been done.
