Etihad Airways’ global sale in Sri Lanka
View(s):Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has stated that it is offering travellers from Sri Lanka savings in its six-day Global Sale starting January 26. From Colombo, guests travelling in Business and Economy Class can choose from a wide choice of destinations across Europe, North America, Africa and the Middle East. Tickets are on sale until January 31 for travel from February 1 to December 10, the airlne said.
Flying via the airline’s hub Abu Dhabi with connecting flights as little as two hours, guests can take advantage of the special offers to popular global cities including New York, Toronto, Frankfurt, London, Berlin, Munich, Rome, Venice, San Francisco, Paris, Dusseldorf, Washington and Chicago. Business Class return fares to London start at Rs 204,450; Frankfurt from Rs. 178,800; Rome from Rs. 172,080; Stuttgart from Rs. 175,060; Dusseldorf from Rs. 175,650; New York from Rs. 263,470; Chicago from Rs. 293,470; Washington from Rs. 303,470; Los Angeles and San Francisco from Rs. 343,470; and Berlin from Rs. 202,000, the release said.
Economy Class return fares to London start from Rs. 75,570; Munich from Rs. 63,100; Geneva from Rs. 55,490; Rome from Rs. 58,880; Berlin from Rs. 79,170; Venice from Rs. 75,800; New York from Rs. 86,270; Washington from Rs. 106,270; Los Angeles and San Francisco from Rs. 113,270; and Toronto from Rs. 175,370, it was noted. Travellers to the United States have the additional benefit of clearing US Immigration and Customs at the special US Pre-Clearance facilities at Abu Dhabi International Airport during their transit. This ensures they arrive in the United States as domestic passengers and avoid the need to complete immigration formalities upon arrival.
