Left-arm spinner and Sri Lanka youth player Thilan Nimesh ran through the Zahira batting as he ended with impressive figures of 6 for 22 to have the visitors in trouble in the Under-19 Inter-School cricket encounter played at Moratuwa.

Zahirians found Thilan too much to handle and were struggling were dismissed for 195 runs in their first innings. The opening day’s proceedings was hampered by rain as only seven overs of play was possible with Zahira ending the day on 43 for no loss.

In their turn Prince of Wales were 160 for 6 when bad light stopped play a few minutes before the scheduled close at 5.45 pm.
