Visvanathan appointed to Asian Hockey Federation
View(s):Perumal Visvanathan, Vice President of the Sri Lanka Hockey Federation, has been appointed as a Member of Coaching, Development and Education Committee of the Asian Hockey Federation for four years, starting from March 28, 2015 to 2018.

His appointment has been made based on the nomination from Sri Lanka Hockey Federation which had met the necessary criteria required for such appointments, which includes relevant qualification and experience in the respective field.
In line with Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) strategy, the foremost task of the committee would be to establish future planning with yearly targets, which should correspond with AHF operational plan aiming at the important goals set by AHF Executive Board.The AHF has chartered a comprehensive policy and initiatives with a view to achieve the aim of developing and promoting hockey in Asia.
Tayyab Ikram, CEO, Asian Hockey Federation in his letter to P. Vishvanathan says that he foresees an important and active role and Visvnathan’s contribution in achieving those objectives.
Tayyab in conclusion says that they take this opportunity to thank Vishvanathan for his commitment by taking this role and look forward to work with him in future for the further development of hockey in Asia.
