In a high jump to mark its 150th jubilee, St. Benedict’s College, Kotahena, for the first time won the Sir John Tarbet Junior Athletics Championship for boys at the four-day national meet concluded in Anuradhapura on Friday.

The premier competition in which more than 6,000 athletes from all over the island took part saw Kegalle’s St. Joseph’s Balika Vidyalaya emerge as the girls’ champion.
