Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) emerged overall champions at the ‘Golden Eagle’ Shotgun Championships at the finals held at the Welisara Ragama Sri

Lanka Navy Range last Saturday. The Competition organised by the National Rifle Association (NRA) in collaboration with the SLAF was worked out on March 26, 27 and 28 .

More than 150 target shooters from the three Armed Forces, Police and Civil Sports Associations participated.

SLAF captured the championships of Team Championship Open Division, Production Division and in the Individual Open Division Women’s event while the Sri Lanka Army won the Individual Open Division Men’s event.

Air Vice Marshal Gagan Bulathsinhala, Chief of Staff, SLAF awarded the trophies to the winners. Air Vice Marchal Chrishan Yahampath, President, NRA, Commanding Officer of the Welisara Navy Cantonment, several officers of the three Armed Forces, the Police and members of Civil Sports Associations participated at the finals.
