Thareesha, Shenal, Dewmini are open Dolphin swim champs
View(s):The Dolphin Life Saving and Swimming Academy held its annual Age-Group Swimming Championship at the Dharmapala College Swimming Pool in Pannipitiya recently. Events were held under six different age categories besides the Open events for boys and girls.
Thareesha Pranish Silva and Shenal Milroy Pereira shared the Boys’ Open championship while Dewmini Nawodya became the champion of Girls Open event. Avinda Naduni de Silva and Thiruni Imasha Bamunuarachchi shared the championship of the Under-17 Girls’ category. Senaru Uthpala became the Under-15 Boy’s champion while Anudhi Piyathma and Livisarana Jayasekara became joint champions of the Under-15 Girls’ category.
Nipun Senehas Wickramaratne emerged the Under-13 Boy’s champion as Dilukshi Lakshani became the Under-13 Girls’ winner. Vinad Theshan Ratnasekara and Siluni Charithma Wickramarachchi emerged Boy’s and Girls’ champions respectively in the Under-11 age category. Vinuja Jayampath Atukorala won the Under-9 Boy’s championship while its Girls’ title went to Lithumi Chathili Gamage. Sithma Supulee Wickramaratne won the Under-7 Girls’ championship.
