SEC new commission to meet tomorrow
View(s):The first meeting of the newly appointed Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will be held tomorrow.
With new Chairman Thilak Karunaratne, the commission comprises eight members, namely Marina Fernando (who was Acting Director General at SEC during former Chairman Gamini Wickremasinghe’s time), Dili Wijewardene, a capital market professional with experience in Singapore, Suresh Shah, Chairman Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Ranel Wijesinghe, well known tax accountant, Rajeeva Amarasuriya, a management accounting expert, P. Samarasiri, Deputy Governor Central Bank and Sajith Attygalle representing the Treasury. A new Director General is likely to be appointed next week.
