Controversy over hybrid cars
View(s):A worker at a Colombo car sales centre wipes off dust on a hybrid car on offer. There was an outcry of protests over increased taxes on hybrid cars in the last budget. The Finance Ministry then clarified the matter saying the new tax will apply to purchases after the budget and vehicles that had landed in the port just before the budget.. Pic by Indika Handuwala
