St. Thomas’ College Matara made short work of Piliyandala Central College by an innings and fifty six runs and were home for lunch at the Uyanwatte Stadium.

Dilum Krishan captured six wickets to demolish the Piliyandala first innings for 61 runs. Tharindu Geeth 15 and Dinush Madhusanka 11 were the only batsman to enter double figures.

The Thomians declared their inning at 201 for 9. Shashni Ahamed scored 56 off 72 balls with seven boundaries while Nevindu Udesh (30) and Lasith Lakshan (28) made useful contributions with the bat.

Nimantha Kavishwara (4/54), Dilum Krishan (2/12) and Dilip Tharaka (2/34) restricted the Piliyandala second innings to 84. Dhanushka Naveen (29) was the only batsman to show any resistance.
