A notable double by Shashika Thiwanka (4 for 30 in 8 overs and 81 not out in 106 balls, inclusive of 10 fours) propelled Kanrich Finance ‘B’to a five wickets win over HNB ‘B’.
Opening batsman, Sankalpa Vaas (96 in 104 balls, inclusive of 16 fours) become the top scorer for the weekend, as he spearheaded Expolanka Group to a resounding 100 runs win over Ceylinco Insurance.
HSBC ‘A’ registered the highest team total for the weekend, scoring 266 for 7 in 36 overs, beating Asian Alliance Insurance by 3 wickets, thereby notching up their third successive win. The tournament will be continued this week-end with a card of five matches.
