4th AGENDA 14 Short Film Festival, country’s pioneering effort to recognise short filmmakers in the country will be held today, at the Goethe Institute, Colombo.
Organised in partnership with European Film Academy, young filmmakers (under 24 years of age) will be awarded with the Best Film, Jury Prize, Human Rights Prize, Most Gender Sensitive Film, Best Animated Short and Most Promising Filmmaker awards.

“From this year onwards Agenda 14 Short Film Festival tribute a short filmmaker from generation before,” said Anoma Rajakaruna the festival organiser.
This year’s tribute goes to Sugathapala Senerath Yapa who made an internationally awarded short film ‘Minisa saha Kaputa’.  Today’s event include screening of the short films produced at last year’s Pitching Session on Reimagining Development followed by a discussion from 9.30am – 1.30pm, screening of Sri Lankan Short Films in Competition from 2.30pm to 5.00 pm, screening of the closing short silm  ‘Karma Bhoomi’ by BimalDushmantha at 5.00 pm and the award ceremony at 6.30 pm.

For the first time Agenda 14 Short Film festival will travel outside Colombo with the support of Canadian High Commission in Colombo and Swiss Embassy in Colombo.
