A cricket tournament launched by a former top spinner has now caught the fancy of every cricket lover. There is a trend of thought that this 
contest should be conducted by the schools cricket association.
One official, who plays a major role as a schools cricket official, is very keen to be involved in this contest because the champions of this contest is set to tour Old Blighty and this official has openly confessed that he would like to be on that tour.
AT WHAT COST?
It was supposed to be a national sports festival but the lack of spectators at the competition proved to be a damp squib. Then the rains came down in buckets and the high roof built at the stadium failed to keep the water out as the strong winds which blew across drenched everybody even those who were sheltered at the stadium.This ground and the stadium was built at a very high cost. But it looks as if it is not worth the effort.
THE PRETTY DAMSEL
All eyes were on the pretty damsel who had come to work at a leading sports body. HR was her specialty and her Dad had thought that the best
place to study human relations was this particular sports body. She was told to sit opposite a leading official, who did not take his eyes off for even a moment. This was noticed by the higher ups and her sitting place was changed. Now her desk has been shifted. She has her back to the official now and is staring at empty space.
TO CURB HER ACTIVITIES
There has been a major change in the body that controls sports in the country with the appointment of a new official. Those in the know say that this official has been brought into check the movements of a certain high lady official who has been having her own way. The best way to control, they think is by appointing a person who could curb her activities. Will this move succeed in curbing her affairs? Only time will tell.
