‘Thambara Sara’ , an evening of Oriental Music will come alive at the college auditorium of the Holy Cross College, Kalutara on 5th September starting from at 5.30pm. A show of this kind is organized for the first time in the history of the College running back to 114 years when the school was established.

Veteran film directress and personality Sumitra Pereis will be the Chief Guest of the ‘Thambara Sara’ Concert. Popular and renowned musicians taking part in this concert include Sunil Edirisingha, Edward Jayakody, Charitha Priyadarshani Peris and Rohana Bogoda.

Music will provided by the newly formed oriental orchestra comprising students of the College from year 6 to 10 thus giving them a great opportunity to perform to veteran artists.

The Concert is brought to the audience with a theme conceptualized by Rev, Dr. Camillus Fernando, the principal of the collage following seven months of hard work and training. ‘Apart from the entertainment, the objective of this project is to introduce a few talented musicians to the Sri Lankan National Music arena’ said the organizers.
