Pan Global Travel expands to inbound traffic generation
View(s):Pan Global Travels, a travel company, has expanded their operations to generate increased tourists traffic to Sri Lanka.
The company will be generating tourist traffic from the Chinese, Malaysian, European and Japanese markets with future focus also on the Indian market, Pan Global Travels Director Rukmali Panabokke told the Business Times.
She noted that they were currently engaged in promoting family travel, attracting golfer, high spenders and the middle income category as well.

In terms of their outbound traffic, the company is focused on providing packaged travel to destination in Asia like Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia. Ms. Panabokke said they would also look at increasing their customer base to travel to Australia and Europe in the future.
Pan Global Travels Chairman Gamini Kuruppu said they were currently in the Chinese market where they commenced various promotions last year and conducted frequent visits in a bid to attract the large outbound traffic from this country.
He noted that at present Sri Lanka was receiving only a small number of (Chinese) tourist traffic but the country stands a chance since the Chinese prefer more peaceful destinations as opposed to the present situation in Thailand and Malaysia.
Pan Global Travels, commenced operations in 2002 as a ticketing company, and with the influx of tourist traffic they had moved into the inbound travel sector as well. (SD)
