Australian company, BCert to open branches in Colombo, Dubai
View(s):Business Systems Certification (BCert), a company formed in Australia by two Sri Lankans, plans to open branches in Colombo and Dubai shortly.
The company was formed in Sydney in October 2012 by Samath Fernando and Samanthie Fernando to provide certification services globally. It has been accredited by JAS-ANZ (Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand) to certify organisations in Australia in IS0 9001:2008 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management Systems), AS/NZS4801 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007, Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
Mr. Fernando said BCert has certified clients in Civil Construction, Telecommunication, Modular Building Design and Manufacturing, Rail, Logistics, Freights and Transport and Building Construction. It is also certifying organisations with non-accredited certification in food safety, IT Security, Laboratory Management Systems and are seeking to get accredited by JAS-ANZ in food safety and IT Security soon.
BCert recently held a lunch for its current and potential clients at Waldorf Hotel in Sydney.
