M. Akeel (AAC), M. Nasoordeen (MICH), T.H.M. Farshad (MICH) M. Prathap (Castle Cue Club Kandy), M.M. Jiffrey (Galle), Imitiaz Farook (MICH), T. Thangi (YMCA), K.H. Sirisoma (SLPA), Anil Rohana (AAC) and M.Y.M. Ariff (MICH) were the players to qualify to the last 16.

The above mentioned cueists having booked their berth pre-quarter finals will also now qualify to contest in the forthcoming national snooker championship along with the 16 seeded players of Sri Lanka.
The All Island Lanka Plate Snooker Championship was contested by 42 cueists comprising of 32 from the Colombo district four each from Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts and two from Galle.
The three frame pre-quarter and quarter finals are scheduled to be played from 10.00 a.m. onwards today. The two semi finals are due to be played tomorrow morning which will be played over five frames and the seven frame final is slotted to be played in the evening.
