The pictures shows that the outdoor volleyball court which was commissioned at Vijitha Central College Dikwella retains water. President of the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation and Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Dilan Perera who commissioned this volleyball court a few months ago said that the cost incurred was Rupees five million and that the International Volleyball Federation had gifted funds to construct five such courts in Sri Lanka.

He reiterated that it was the responsibility of the recipients to protect and maintain them. The authorities should ensure that at least in future the recommended gradient is maintained and similarly the recipients should take steps to maintain the facilities as stagnating water will cause damage to the Taraflex surface on the court.
