The thoughtful Thomian gesture

It happened at the S. Thomas’ versus Dharmaraja Under 16 rugby match at the Bogambara Stadium.
Around 20 minutes before the end, a Rajan player was injured, helped off and was being attended by a doctor at the far end of the ground. The victorious Thomians did not forget the little figure lying face up just outside the touch line.
Every Thomian player and reserve walked across the ground to shake hands with the injured player who was unable to get up. A couple of Thomians patted him on the cheek, while one or two tousled his hair.
It was a very meaningful and thoughtful gesture by the Thomians. Unfortunately, coming as it did at the end of the ground, and at the opposite end of the ground, it was not seen and appreciated by many.
