Expolanka honoured at AREA Awards
View(s):Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards programme (AREA) has honoured Expolanka Holdings PLC at the AREA awards 2013 for its services to the less-privileged communities through the CSR programme ‘Expo Medix’.
In a media statement, Paddy Weerasekera, Head of Marketing, Corporate Communications and CSR for Expolanka Holdings PLC said, “We are privileged to win this prestigious award. This recognition is a tribute to our sustainable business culture and our tireless efforts at empowering the community.”
The clinics are fully functional in providing medical consultation, diagnostics services and operations for minor surgery requirements. They also provide medicines and drugs at a subsidized cost. Expo Medix provides healthcare to patients from the lower income segments, who cannot afford the usually high-priced private healthcare system and find themselves unable to address their immediate health needs satisfactorily.
