Lenovo’s Iomega appoints Softlogic as ‘authorised distributor’

The IT arm of Sri Lanka’s Softlogic was recently appointed an authorised distributor for Lenovo-controlled Iomega, now re-branded as Lenovo EMC, according to an announcement by the local IT company which also revealed; “Through the partnership Softlogic will consolidate and add more value to its enterprise solutions offering in Sri Lanka”. Further, the announcement also added; “Lenovo EMC offers a range of Network Attached Storage (NAS) and IPSAN storage ranging from 2 TB Tower form factor to 48 TB Rack form factor.These industry leading solutions are ideal for applications such as storage consolidation and Disk Backup, Video Surveillance, Storage Virtualisation and VDI”.

Quoted in Softlogic Information Technologies’ announcement, its Director / Chief Executive, Roshan Rassool, commented; “We are pleased to partner Lenovo EMC. The portfolio of products through this partnership will further strengthen our position in the data centre and back-up space and provide small office, home office, medium and large businesses solutions that will enable high level of storage and retrieval of critical data users have spent many hours creating.
