Popular band Doctor will come alive at the ‘The Party’ on New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance on 31 December  ‘The Party’, New Year Dinner Dance 2013, hosted by Hilton Colombo Residences will feature Colombo’s renowned local artiste ‘Doctor’, headed by Lanthra Perera with their unique repertoire of the 70s, 80s, the latest music, not forgetting the well-loved Sinhala songs.

Getting the groove on and people on the dance floor with the right kind of music, Doctor will be ready to dish out their best at The Party. Doctor comprises of Lantra Perera on guitar and lead vocal, Krishan Perera on keyboards and vocals, Ashan Jayathilleke on bass and vocals, Mahee Kuma on Drums and Kushal Abeywickrema on guitar and vocals.

The boys will be curing all ailments with some good old hits from the 70s, 80s, modern talking and Baila that get the crowd roaring.
‘Our aim is to provide the very best in entertainment for the most anticipated celebration of the year; the band Doctor is sure to keep everyone on their toes until morning; the elaborate menu contains the finest food prepared by our master chefs, in short, all the elements to make this new year’s eve very memorable’ said Stephane Roubin, Director of Operations.

The Party will pave the way for revellers to win air tickets to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Maldives.  ‘The Queen of the Night’, ‘Best Dance Couple’, ‘Baila Competition’, entrance ticket draw are some of the top events planned for the night.

Guests will be treated to a sinful gastronomical range of appetizers, soups, salads, carver’s station, pasta action station, and sumptuous meals with a Sri Lankan section; a decadent menu of fresh oysters, blue water prawn cocktail in green tea, black forest ham with honey mustard sauce, roast duck consommé, roasted Tom turkey with chestnut stuffing and cranberry jelly and slow-roasted Australian lamb with red wine mint just has been specially crafted by executive Chef Priyal Wijesuriya.

All tables of ten receive two bottles of international spirits and one bottle of wine on the house. A traditional breakfast of milk rice, featuring the favourite ‘fish ambultial’ and chicken curry would be served in the morning.
